What kind of microscope should I use for home school?

Answered By Evan Mattensen, Editor

The microscope found in classrooms across the world is the compound microscope. These are entirely operated by hand and use ordinary ambient light from the sun or a light bulb to illuminate the specimen. The specimen is mounted between two glass slides and clipped beneath the main lens. This is the most common microscope and would be best for home school as well.
